Professions
What are professions?
Professions in Allods Online are used to make gear pieces, such as Leatherworking, Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Weaponsmithing.
Others like Alchemy are used to make potions to increase power levels, health pools, extend pvp fights, go invisible, but also miscellaneous like turning into golden statues.
How do I practice a profession?
Starting a profession can be done at the corresponding trainer.
These are NPC's that offer all the resources and information you need for the profession practice.
They'll give you some small quests that introduce you to the practice. After 2 introduction quests you're on your own, but you can buy some of the resources from the trainer, as well as the tools of higher levels you will need for your profession, more about this later.
Where do I start my profession?
• Blacksmithing & Weaponsmithing
• Crafting Vendor*
Alchemy •
Leatherworking •
• Tailoring
* The crafting vendor is an NPC offering all the resources you can buy of the trainers from all professions together.
Leatherworking
About Leatherworking
Leatherworking is used to craft leather armor.
The only pieces you can craft are the pieces that also can drop in astrals and raids, or that you can buy with embrium in your Private Allod.
As you level up, you will unlock recipes of higher levels. It's advised to craft these of the highest possible level in order to yield the most amount of expoints per craft you do.
Every new level unlocks new recipes.
You can also buy recipes at the Leatherworking trainer NPC.
Leatherworking
What's leatherworking used for?
Armor pieces (leather), and tools.
You will need both in endgame so it's a good profession.
Tools are required to gear up and craft pieces on the anvil. These are not the same pieces you can craft with the profession. That is why some gear pieces have swirling arrows on them.
More about this here.
How does it work?
Once you attempt to craft, you get this interface.
Basically it's about combining the same colors all the time.
Depending on which color you combine, your reward might increase.
You can lock up to 4 colors, then you'll have to fish for the last color to match up and pray to RNGesus to do it for you.
This shows how many remaining attempts you have in combining the colors.
You can always end it before using all your attempts if you have all the colors early by pressing "remove".
This is the inspiration meter, this meter builds up after each crafting attempt. The higher the color you aim for, the faster it fills. If it's at 50%, it can replicate as 1 epic grade (purple) when you try to make items/tools with epic colors, because that's the highest reward.
When it's on 100%, it can replicate 2 purple colors.
It will also start to shine when you have enough purple colors to combine it with.
How to level-up?
As you look at the recipes, they show materials you need in order to craft.
The first row of items are always coming from out the world.
These are different pieces of leather that you need to cut out of regular leather which drop from monsters you kill throughout questing.
You can get the Pincers from the Leatherworking trainer.
As you level up, you will notice that the names of the leather pieces change, about every 10 levels.
This means that you will have to cut higher quality leather that's being dropped by higher level monsters in their corresponding zones. And so it continues that for each zone, different quality of profession materials might drop.
The second row of items can always be bought at the trainer NPC.
You will always need gold to buy these but you'll never have to look far for them.
Here's a video tutorial on how to level up leatherworking
As you level, you will notice that the recipes require more materials.
The third row is always going to ask for materials you can find back in Craftsman Chests.
These chests are dropped by monsters throughout the game as well, but the materials you get out of them are more random.
If you have no profession, they will give materials for every profession as random as possible, so save them until you have a profession.
If you happen to have levelled so fast that the monsters no longer drop loot for you but you need the materials from the chests of those lower levels, you can also kill higher level mobs. Their materials might be of a higher quality but you can use those as replicates for the lower level materials.
The difficulty with these materials is that once you reach endgame level, you no longer can farm these on monsters because endgame monsters do not drop them anymore.
The only way to get them on endgame is to ask levelling players to give or sell you the materials they get from the chests, farm on a levelling reincarnation or to buy them from the goblinball vendor.
Tailoring
About Tailoring
Tailoring is used to craft cloth armor.
You can also buy recipes at the Tailoring trainer NPC.
Tailoring
What's tailoring used for?
Armor pieces (cloth), and tools.
You will need both in endgame so it's a good profession.
Tools are required to gear up and craft pieces on the anvil. These are not the same pieces you can craft with the profession. That is why some gear pieces have swirling arrows on them.

Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing
About Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing is used to craft plate armor.
You can also buy recipes at the blacksmithing trainer NPC.
Compared to tailoring and leatherworking, you will notice that this and weaponsmithing works a bit different - more effort is required.
You need to scan around the corresponding zones for nodes to mine these nodes, rather than killing monsters for your resources now.
A good alternative for this is to upgrade your looter so that it can harvest these nodes for you in a big radius range.
What's blacksmithing used for?
Armor pieces (plate), and tools.
You will need both in endgame so it's a good profession.

How to level-up?
As you look at the recipes, they show materials you need in order to craft.
The first row of items are always coming from out the world.
These are different pieces of metals that you need to melt into ingots. You get these metals by mining nodes.
The nodes are hovering balls all over different zones.
After crafting the corresponding ingots (tip, overlay, blade, rod and base) you can craft your armor. Not all armor pieces can be crafted with the same ingots, that's why there are different ingots you can craft.
The best way I found is to stay on 2 different ingots and craft armor pieces with these 2 kinds throughout the whole levelling process.
You can get the Pick from both blacksmithing and weaponsmithing trainers.
As you level up, you will notice that the names of the metals change, about every 10 levels.
This means that you will have to look for the higher quality metals in different zones.
Usually the level of recipes you're trying to craft correspond to the level of zones where you need to get the materials from.

Weaponsmithing
Weaponsmithing
About Weaponsmithing
Weaponsmithing is used to craft weapons.
The only pieces you can craft are wands, bows, and all the one-handed, two-handed and off-hand weapons. All of them drop in astrals and raids, or you can buy them with embrium in your Private Allod.
As you level up, you will unlock recipes of higher levels. It's advised to craft these of the highest possible level in order to yield the most amount of expoints per craft you do.

Alchemy
Alchemy
About Alchemy
Alchemy is used to craft potions.
Alchemy is a very powerful profession and is recommended to everyone to have so that you are self sufficient in buffing yourself, supplying others with power boosts, stat increasements, healing potions, damage reductions, and so much more.
As you level up, you will unlock recipes of higher levels. It's advised to craft these of the highest possible level in order to yield the most amount of expoints per craft you do.
Every new level unlocks new recipes.
You can also buy recipes at the alchemy trainer NPC.
What's alchemy used for?
Solely for potions.
It's the most useful profession to have.
You can craft potions to boost yourself with such as stat increasements, temporary vigor boosts, healing potions, damange reductions, invisibility potions, anti-invisbility potions, purify potions, disease cures and so much more.
How does it work?
Once you attempt to craft, you get this interface.
Basically it's about combining the right reagents given in the blue bar in the given order.
You can do so in any of the 3 rows and the outcome appears on the right side.
This shows how many remaining spins you can do to combine different reagents.
Returning your spins returns also your attempts to spin.
This shows what combination of your reagents you should make in order to get your potion.
Obviously as you can see at the bottom of my crafting interface, you can see numbers and on the right the names of certain potions.
This is a great addon to use if you're alching.
It tells you how many spins you should give on which position in order to get the potion.
It's also always the most efficient method so that you can get bonus products.
Meaning, if you get your product with little to no spins required, you gain extra potions than you would if you used 4 to 5 spins to get your potion.
How to level-up?
As you look at the recipes, they show materials you need in order to craft.
The first row of items are always coming from out the world.
These are different reagents that are on different flowers. Harvesting the flowers is done in a similar way as you mine nodes for weaponsmithing and blacksmithing.
As you level up you will notice that flowers in low level zones will not have reagents you need for products of higher level zones.
If you want to produce a product of level 34 for example, then you should harvest nodes in the zone that corresponds to that level or higher.
The second row of items can always be bought at the trainer NPC.
You will always need gold to buy these but you'll never have to look far for them.
Here's a video tutorial on how to level up alchemy
As you level, you will notice that the recipes require more materials.
The third. fourth and fifth row are basically asking more flowers to produce a higher quality product.
As the third row requires ordinary flowers like the first row, the fourth and fifth require a more higher level quality of flowers that you can acquire in either astrals, or just from flowers that are rarer to find.
Unlocking more professions, how?
You can unlock more professions by raising your reputation of the craftmanship.
You do this by crafting certain items in your first profession. Depending on what profession you have, these items are different.
Unlock 2nd profession
Weaponsmithing
Leatherworking
Tailoring
Alchemy
All professions have these reputation rising items.
Each 10th level the quality goes up.
All of them give the same amount of reputation, the difference is in its limits.
The level 10 items can only go up to 5k reputation.
The level 20 items can only go up to 10k reputation, and so on and forth until you have the lv50 items that go up to 25k reputation, which is the highest you can get in the game.
Once you have reached this amount, you are allowed to buy a paper that allows you to have a second profession.
And in order to unlock the 3rd profession, you will have to either buy it from the boutique in f2p,
or buy it from the marks of accomplishments store in p2p.
